Levin Archangel + Valkyrie Combo Guide
LA + Valk is one of the best Lightning combos in Wittle Defender. LA's CRIT buffs stack massively with Valk's kit โ here's how to build and play them.
The CRIT Explosion Duo
Levin Archangel (LA) and Valkyrie (Valk) form one of the strongest 2-hero combinations in Wittle Defender. LA's passive links to your highest ATK ally and gives them Unyielding (death-defying buff). LA's White-1 skill gives +8% CRIT Rate to allies under Unity Grace. LA's White-2 gives +24% CRIT DMG to allies under Unity Grace. Valk is already a strong fighter who scales well with CRIT. Together: Valk gets +8% CRIT Rate + +24% CRIT DMG from LA on top of her own scaling. That is a multiplicative explosion.
Why Valk Benefits Most from LA
Valk's kit is designed around critical hits โ her damage multipliers scale with CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG more than other fighters. LA's CRIT buffs stack multiplicatively with Valk's existing CRIT gear and runes. The Unyielding buff (death-defying) means Valk survives situations that would kill other fighters, letting her dish out more damage. LA also has wide-range Lightning synergy attacks that Valk benefits from being adjacent to.
Team Build
SW + LA + Valk + AA + Pharaoh. How it works: SW enables via Proxy (usually LA or Valk gets designated). LA buffs Valk with CRIT bonuses. Valk deals massive CRIT damage. AA tanks and provides team CRIT DMG buff. Pharaoh reduces enemy Lightning RES โ all three DPS are Lightning element. Lightning element bonus activates with LA, Valk, AA, and Pharaoh = +10% team DMG + HP. Alternative 5th slot: Odin (chain partner for AA and Valk).

LA was released April 21, 2026 (v2.0.0.8). Her rate-up banner runs April 22 โ June 3, 2026. She is a new S-tier hero and her rate-up is a high-priority pull window. At 1 Star: Already viable. Her link ability activates early. At 3 Stars: CRIT buffs reach meaningful levels. At 1 Diamond: Full power unlocks. Light variant and Dark variant are cosmetically different โ both have the same abilities.
Rune Builds
LA Runes: 4x Illusive Flurry + 2x Divine Revival. Slot 4: CRIT DMG%. Slot 5: Lightning DMG%. Slot 6: Fighter DMG%. Valk Runes: 4x Illusive Flurry + 2x Divine Revival. Same stat priorities. Since LA provides CRIT Rate to Valk, you can lean more heavily into CRIT DMG% on Valk's runes rather than CRIT Rate. AA Runes: Max HP runes (her shield scales off HP). Pharaoh Runes: Passive slot โ minimal investment needed.
PvP Application
LA + Valk is a strong PvP combination because: The Unyielding buff makes Valk very hard to burst down. LA's wide-range Lightning attack hits multiple opponent heroes. Counter-synergy: LA was designed partially as a counter to Wind/MK teams in PvP. When facing MK-heavy opponents, LA + Valk + AA provides good counter pressure.
