How the Tentacle Chain Works
Polar Captain (PC) has an ability that summons giant tentacles when her summons die. Frost Lich constantly summons undead minions that die quickly. Every time Lich's summons die, PC spawns tentacles. With enough investment, this becomes a continuous chain โ Lich spawns minions, they die, PC spawns tentacles, screen fills with tentacles, everything dies. Without Northern Tyrant (NT) boosting summon damage, this combo rates A tier. With NT, it becomes SSS.
Investment Requirements
This combo needs both heroes at a functional star level to work. PC solo is C tier โ the tentacle chain is weak without Lich's summons triggering it. Lich solo is B tier โ her summons are useful but not devastating. Together at 3+ Stars each, they become A tier. The combo becomes stronger with each star investment. Prioritize getting both heroes to 3 Stars simultaneously rather than maxing one first.
Team Build
Duo build: SW + PC + Lich + AA + FL. Best build: SW + NT + PC + Lich + AA (SSS upgrade). How it works: SW enables via Proxy. NT buffs ALL summon damage โ PC's tentacles and Lich's summons both benefit. Lich summons die โ PC tentacle chain begins. AA tanks. Without NT, use FL or PD as 5th hero for healing and DPS.
Skill Priority
PC skill priority: Focus on summoning frequency and tentacle damage cards. PC's Blue-2 and Blue-3 cards dramatically increase tentacle count and damage. Lich skill priority: Summon frequency cards first (more summons = more deaths = more tentacles). Healing and defense cards are secondary. Chain skills (PCโIQ and LichโPC) activate when both heroes are deployed โ include IQ if you need the ice chain bonus.
Rune Builds
PC Runes: 4x Unshaken Will + 2x Illusive Flurry. Slot 4: CRIT DMG%. Slot 5: Ice DMG%. Slot 6: Fighter DMG%. Lich Runes: 6x Divine Revival (CDR to keep summons coming). Main stats: HP% on slots 4-6 (she needs to stay alive to keep spawning). Sub-stats: HP%, ATK%.
