Best Wittle Defender Heroes to Invest In First
Exactly which heroes deserve your scrolls, star-up materials, and resources first โ and which ones to skip. F2P and spender paths covered.
The Golden Rule
Before we list any hero, understand this: investing in the wrong hero can set your account back months. Every resource you put into a hero that gets benched is a resource that didn't go into your actual carry. The correct investment order is not just about who is best โ it is about who gives you the most value RIGHT NOW while setting you up for the future.
#1 โ Starlight Weaver (Non-Negotiable)
SW is the first and most important investment in Wittle Defender. She is in every endgame lineup. She is not optional. She is not situational. She is mandatory. Invest her to 3 Diamond before you even think about anyone else. F2P or spender, casual or competitive โ this is universal. Every language community in the game's Discord agrees. If you don't have SW yet, every scroll you save should go toward pulling her on her next rate-up banner during Summon Rush.
#2 โ Your First Xeno (After SW)
After SW, your next major investment is a second Xeno hero. Xeno heroes count as wildcard elements and have the strongest scaling in the game. Choose based on your playstyle: Monkey King (MK) if you play PvP โ he is unmatchable in Arena. Void Witch (VW) if you focus PvE, modes, and Campaign. Peacekeeper (PK) if you want a shield-heavy support role.
#3 โ Best Mythic Investment Path
Once you have SW and a second Xeno underway, invest in Mythic heroes in this order: Archon Armor (AA): The meta tank. Accessible via rate-up and strong immediately. Fabled Lyra (FL): Heals AND buffs. Replaces Cheffy immediately. Phoenix Dancer (PD): Her 1D CRIT share is a massive power spike โ invest once you pull her. Frost Lich: Core of the SSS Ice Trinity. Start building toward PC+Lich. Polar Captain (PC): Pairs with Lich. Invest together.
#4 โ Long-Term Investments
These heroes become the most powerful in the game with proper investment but require more time and resources: Panda Brewmaster (newly released, extremely powerful, invest heavily once available). Northern Tyrant (NT) โ requires 3+ stars AND correct team to shine. Levin Archangel (LA) โ released April 2026, strong immediately with Valk. Valkyrie โ easy to use, scales very well, excellent PvP.
Heroes to Avoid Over-Investing
Demon Spawn (DS): Good early carry but falls off hard at endgame. Don't invest past 1D. Sword Saint (SS): Becomes redundant once PD hits 1D (PD shares CRIT Rate team-wide). Night Baron (NB): F tier. Don't invest. Blazing Archer (BA): F tier. Don't invest. Robot: Only useful as a passive slot filler โ DO NOT run CRIT Rate runes on him. High Priest (HP): F tier. Skip entirely.
F2P vs Spender Investment Path
F2P: SW โ Seraph (Boss Market daily) โ accessible Mythics (AA, FL, PD) โ build toward NT+PC+Lich. Spender ($20-50/mo): SW โ Second Xeno โ targeted rate-up pulls for S-tier Mythics โ Panda or LA as next major investment. Heavy spender: SW โ Multiple Xenos โ full S-tier roster.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I invest in Starlight Weaver even if I don't have her yet?
Yes โ save every summon resource for her next rate-up banner. She is the #1 priority at any account stage.
Is Demon Spawn worth investing in?
Only as a temporary early carry for Campaign. Do not invest past 1 Diamond โ she falls off completely at endgame.
